Diana

Diana, the goddess of the hunt, captured in a dynamic gesture with a bow in her hand, ready to shoot an arrow. She is surrounded by forest animals, each symbolizing a unique attribute associated with hunting and nature. The howling wolf personifies ferocity and at the same time shyness, the doe fragility and tenderness, while the majestic grouse (black grouse) recalls the rarity and uniqueness of Slovak forests. Above Diana’s head flies a falcon, a symbol of the keen eyesight, speed and precision necessary for a successful hunt. This work expresses a deep relationship and respect between man, nature and hunting.
